Trade name:    Tentation ® - La Préférence Goût
Tentation is an apple cultivar commercialized before under the brand: Tentation ® and after 2009 under the brand La Préférence Goût. Variety created by Georges Delbard and resulting from the cross-breeding of the Grifer and the Golden Delicious, the Tentation® apple boasts a deep yellow skin scattered with breathing pores, giving it a rustic appearance. The fruit often have one slightly rosy side making them extremely appetising. Tentation is grown in France: 70% of production is made in the Loire, between Tours and Nantes picked by hand from September to November and in New Zealand to provide fruit domestically and to the Northern Hemisphere from June to September.
